UNK Student Government
I was actively involved in Student Government throughout my four years at UNK, with a strong focus on creating a lasting impact on campus. During my freshman year, I served as a Freshman Senator, and for the next three years I represented the College of Business and Technology as a student senator. In my first two years, I contributed to the Constitutional Review Committee, where I played a key role in reviewing and approving student organization constitutions. I later served as the Facilities, Campus Development, and Sustainability Committee Head, leading initiatives to promote sustainability and enhance the campus environment. This included organizing programs that prioritized sustainable practices and improved the beauty of UNK’s grounds. In 2024, I helped form the UNK Sustainability Committee and plan Sustainability Week, a series of earth‑focused events for students. For my dedication, I was honored with the Senator of the Year award at the annual Student Government inauguration. My experience in Student Government strengthened my leadership, communication, and event‑planning skills and played a meaningful role in preparing me for my career.
